I thought of you beside the sea
So distant bright and cruel to me
I carved a window into stone
To see the stars I used to know
I turned my face toward the north
Where June burns red and silence grows
I drank like thirst could kill the flame
Blood in my mouth no voice no shame
I kissed the wind with broken lips
And stared with eyes the dark eclipse
I saw with what my head had lost
A blind man chasing burning frost
Maybe I am blind
Maybe I am just
A poet who walks with fire
I think of you
And run these empty streets
Tonight I lose myself again
Tomorrow I’ll rise reborn
I will be the child of the cosmos
A child of the century
Spend all my reckless youth
Then abandon love’s throne
I’ll be the captain cold and far
Steering through the noise of cities
Still I dream of only one
That first June where warmth had stayed
June was gold
And poor men stood in fishing ports
Collecting pay with weathered hands
But I
而我——
I held a serpent close to me
The one who loved me
Lonely as the sea
Run through glass to reach the shore
Breathe the wind that never warms
Swallow names I used to carry
Burn the bridge without a storm
She will live
In salt and sorrow
In pain forever
In the sea
